Product Description
The SoundBurster is an Ultrasonic Sound Generator generating ultrasound waves which penetrate through openings to be detected by an Ultrasonic Leak Detector thus locating static leaks not detectable otherwise.
The SoundBurster artificially pressurizes freezers, walk-in coolers, tanks, bulk ships, trailers, shipping containers, rooms, cabins, automobiles, trucks and enclosures making is possible to check for leak paths that can leak air or water in or out of the volume.
It works in conjunction with any ultrasonic leak detector made by PlantScan.
Produces two computer generated precision wave forms, Constant Wave of 40 kHz (CW) and Bursts of 40 kHz in Burst Mode which helps break resonances, as it acts like a sound hammer. Use the CW to estimate the size of the opening. A PlantScan procedure using the SB & a ULD will reveal where doors leak and relatively how much. This technique is invaluable when leak testing an aircraft fuselage or doors on ships.
